Waitrose Market Harborough
ParticipantTime for a little update. Our total is now sitting at 225! Yeah!! Getting there. We have some amazing partners (staff) who are really pulling out the stops. What is really lovely is in several cases it is not just the partner, but members of their families as well. Just love the stories that I’m hearing. Daughters making during summer holidays (adding the most gorgeous embellishments) whilst mum is at work, mother and son sewing! partner and her grandmother, the list goes on. All with one goal, to make a difference to our environment with ‘random acts of kindness’ just love it. Happy sewing everyone x

ParticipantWell the results are in. £245 will be finding its way to the Harborough Hitbag Pod shortly. We were delighted to do a little something for such a wonderful and worthy cause. Spoke to another branch today who wanted more info and are looking at setting up a pod, with a further branch also requesting info, the word is spreading. Fingers crossed. Thank you all for your kind feedback. With anything like this, it is teamwork. We have a number of partners sewing away to help reach our target, currently bags made – 133, still long way to go as new branches keep opening… Thanks once again to the lovely ladies at Harborough Hitbags and to Rosie for her support and encouragement. Would also like to thank my fellow partner, Julia as it is a project we are running jointly! Happy sewing one and all Elaine x

ParticipantWe hope to give out in early December but are yet to agree a date! At present there is a small hub of Partners making multiple bags with several partners making their first with more to follow! All good stuff. There are two of us co-ordinating and driving the initiative, Julia and myself. We have received lots of support and encouragement from our local pod, Harborough HITbags, so are very indebted to them. I have also met up with Rosie whose enthusiasm and passion for Morsbags is inspiring. Great news on our tally, got into branch today and one of our lovely partners has made a further 8 bags taking us to 101, our first major milestone – yippee! Elaine
