Beattie – I cannot find out how to pm you, so I will use the forum to say thank you and masterclock for your card and lovely thoughts. I so appreciate that you have been thinking of me – it really does help.

Hell’s teeth! I forgot to add to Ladybag again. Never mind, November will look good.
Yes, I agree Offcuts – We want to know more about Sisters in Service!

Just seen this. Did you manage to get them off? It was such a good idea.

The hysteria about it has been driving me nuts! Part of the trouble is being old I can remember when you wouldn’t have been so silly as to go shopping without a shopping bag or basket. Other parts of the UK seemed to have coped with the charge without so much fuss, or was the fuss just not reported down south? Anyway, if it cuts down the use of plastic – Yippee!

Crumbs, I am impressed. It’s all I can do to church out the bags with a morsbags label on them. If I started work with stamps my production would probably slump! I do think they are a lovely idea though.

Oh Tarragon how I recognise the feeling! I have been dismayed once or twice because I have the made bags that are ready to give away, in a pile by my back door. Several times people have come to visit and on the way out, seeing the bags, ask if they can have one and then, blow me, if they don’t take my current favourite. I use a couple of favourites all the time, one made by Offcuts, and one made out of ancient curtains that I made when we first got married 50 years ago. But that doesn’t stop me having a few favourites in my give away pile which I somehow never give away until forced by a request.

Well done Hilly – and Mr Hilly! Good for you not to be discouraged at that daunting start. At least making all the next lot of bags will not be quite so challenging, or I hope it won’t!
