butterfly bags
ParticipantToday, myself and one of my girls, Keavie, ran the morsbag event at The Green Place in Leicester. We have done several events there now and they are always a success. Today was their opening day for this year (they close during the winter). Normally we have our events in their fabulous yurt but today we were in their upstairs room, which was equally as lovely and very warm.
As it was their first day, and because of the weather, I wasn’t sure how many people would be out and about. In fact, there was a nice steady stream of people who wanted to take a bag, make a bag or just find out more about morsbags. 8 new bags were made including some extra special ones and lots and lots were given away.
I do love doing events at The Green Place. They are always so welcoming, it has a lovely atmosphere and an amazing veggie cafe! What more could you want when morsbagging?!
I did take some photos but I haven’t mastered getting them on here yet so I’m hoping Offcuts will be able to take them from facebook and add them for me. (Thank you Offcuts!!)

KeymasterLovely photos Butterfly! Thanks for taking them, and thanks also to Offcuts for posting them.
I was so sorry to hear you’ve had trouble posting photos again Butterfly. I think the method is a bit different to the old website and I’m not sure how to advise, I always have to have a bit of a fiddle round til I find how to do it – again!
Glad you and Keavie had a great day – I love the bags lining the drive at The Green Place.

ParticipantThanks Beattie. It was one of the men that works there had the idea to get the lantern hooks out to line the path with bags. It does look good doesn’t it?!

ParticipantThe lady that came running back up the stairs worried because her little boy had “pinched” a little Bob the Builder morsbag was very funny.

ParticipantThere was also a man that offered me money for a bag. When I told him that the only donations we accepted was fabric, he did offer to give me the shirt he was wearing. I declined.
