I’ve cut 4 out ready to sew later, but as its not raining we’re off to the beach to blow away the cobwebs.

We got caught in a downpour walking to get the newspaper – gardening seems less attractive than sewing for a while! Hope you’re all having a good time. Where’s your event today, Offcuts?

Phew! Busy afternoon at Phoenix Cinema. We were time sharing with a live sell out cinema performance of Jewel by the Bolshoi Ballet. It was in 3 parts so we had rushes for bags in the intervals! Gave away 100 in the end. Thanks to Mary and Chris for their help. My favourite thing was when a lovely family including twins of 10 took home kits to make bags at home, and when a kindly gentleman bought me a much needed orange juice! Only made 1 bag in the end

Just got back from a lovely afternoon at the beach, complete with ice cream, and hot chocolate with marshmallows, then evening meal out…. Just about to sew some bags…

Managed to complete 4 bags this evening…. Sorry it wasn’t more …. I’ll post a pic of this weekends bags tomorrow when the light is better.

I sat down to make some bags, then remembered a phone call I had to make, so my batch of bags is still in the pipeline. Offcuts and Sazzie, your afternoons both sound lovely. I had a dry and sunny but cold session tidying up the garden a bit and I managed to amalgamate the contents of 2 composters to make room for all the weeds I pulled out.
