I’ve just made a few bags this afternoon out of pillowcases – love the speediness! Our bags are always double seamed for strength, so pillowcase are sewn all the way round the bag. I always sort pillowcases carefully and only use ones that are barely used, so the fabric’s good and strong.
Dunno why people think it’s cheating, we all use duvets etc that have some seams in place – and anywaythe point is to make as many bags as possible, ready for handing out!
I was looking to see if there’s going to be a unified morsbags response to the introduction of the levy in october – we’re building up a stash of bags ready to do a big handout outside one of the supermarkets in Bude on the day it comes in.
