update – we now have 35 members and am enjoying our once a month get togethers. i’ve encouraged people to make bags at home inbetween times, so our pod total is rising steadily. one of our pod has encouraged us to try and get onto page 1 of the pods totals list (!) so we’re enjoying seeing who the next pod is to overtake, lol – we’re on Boomerang Bags’ shoulder at the moment!
i’m going to try and put us “out there” more this year, now we’re established, attending a few events. so i’ll be looking on here fir ideas about how to “decorate” a morsbags stall and what’s needed for doing events – a bit nerve wracking organising something like that, but it’ll be good to go beyond taking bags to beach cleans for volunteers etc.
i’ve found that having a facebook page has been crucial in helping our pod to grow, and it’s a goid central place for both me and pod members to post info, photos etc – it’s very much a shared resource, so it’s lovely to see people posting pics and keeping me informed of how many bags they’ve made at home – yay for modern technology!
who’d have thought that less than a year ago i was a solitary bagmaker, this is so much more fun!
