I’ve been absent….. in March, at the request of a friend working in a hospital, I started making face masks and completed about 800 of them by last month. The need is not so great any more and masks are now available everywhere (and I developed tendonitis 😀 ) so I would love to get back to bag-making. However, here in Florida where I live there is still a great aversion to being handed anything by a stranger… which in a way is understandable. I used to just stand in the checkout line at my grocery store, or walk down the center path at the farmer’s market, and just ask people if they would like a nice, free, washable bag. That is not so much an option now. Some grocery stores even stop you from bringing your own bags in.
What is a person to do with so little else going on and the urge to get the sewing machine cranked up? Anyone else have run across this? Solutions??
