How did we manage to make 3531 bags worldwide last month? It seems such a huge number, made by 50 pods, all composed of people sewing bags in their spare time. I wondered if Pol’s appeal for bags to be given away at the Great British Sewing Bee Live show had spurred anyone else to extra efforts? I know we increased production last month because of it.
The bag-makers in August were –
Te Awa Pod
South Gwent Pod
The old bag
say no to plastic
Sally South Bags
The Scrapstore Birmingham
South Bucks Bags
Morsbags et non Morsbach
Bags by the beach
Toni Fab Bags
Draculash &Co make morsbags
The Chickadeez (and friends)
Austintown Senior Center Pod
So Mrs Bag
Congratulations to everyone on a magnificent effort!
We were joined by twelve new pods –
WASTE NOT WANT NOT
small steps in Otaki
Toni Fab Bags
Welcome, and double congratulations to the eight (!) pods that appear in BOTH lists, for joining and getting started promptly
Magsbags writes “Just me! Making bags for the local food bank at present.”
small steps in Otaki writes “starting small with donated / op shop fabric, contributing towards making our community plastic bag free.”
Wow. That is a great total. I thought it might be a quiet morsbag making month with it being holiday time!
I’ve pledge 30 for the Sewing Bee Live and have just got a couple more to make to hit my target.
The GBSB effect definitely improved my output – 30 bags pledged plus a few more I’ve made for friends and customers. I am only 8 bags away from a round total of 700 now! Keep up the good work everybody – looking forward to meeting up with the morsbags crew at GBSB in a couple of weeks xx
